Urban Forestry - (UF) is a forestry-based, interdisciplinary degree program emphasizing arboriculture and urban forest management. Urban forest management to maximize the environmental benefits of the urban forest in a cost-effective manner is stressed throughout the curriculum. In addition to forestry courses, students take classes from Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Affairs and Planning.
Careers
Interaction with students and faculty from other disciplines is encouraged to prepare students for careers in municipal forestry, commercial tree care, regional urban forest management, nonprofit organizations, urban environmental consulting and many other related fields.
Spring Camp is currently required for this option.
