Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Undergraduate Research is an excellent way to gain advanced experience in your field, broaden your understanding of the scientific foundation of forestry and natural resources, and prepare for graduate school and a career in research. The Department of Forestry is committed to providing undergraduate research opportunities for interested students.
Research opportunities range from part-time positions working on faculty research projects, to independently developing a research project under faculty supervision for academic credit. Students have presented their work at conferences both on campus and around the nation. Students undertaking research must have a strong interest in discovery, practice conscientious attention to detail, and be prepared to commit to following through to the completion of the project.
To participate, speak to a faculty member in your field of interest to learn what opportunities are currently available.
