Forest stream benthic macroinvertebrate ecology, development and application of biomonitoring tools for stream assessment, landuse impacts to forest stream ecosystems, water quality impacts and modeling, science-based policy development

Research Topic:  Development of a Total Dissolved Solids Water Quality Criterion to Protect Aquatic Life in the Appalachian Coalfields of Southwest Virginia
