Pruning and It's effects on the root system of the ash tree
A mini rhizotron is being used to monitor the root systems of Ash trees at the UHC. Pruning techniques are then being administered and the root zone is analyzed for a statistical increase or decrease in overall mass.
Scientific Activities
- I am currently trying to publish a literature review on The Starkey Project with Dr. Richard Sherwin at CNU. Aside from my work here, I have an orchid hospice at my house and I conduct nutrient studies on flowering plants for my own knowledge.

Service Activities

I frequently design gardens for friends/family in my home town of Chesterfield and plan on joining the Urban Forestry Club here at VT so hopefully we can design some plantings on campus. I also give free advice to anyone who takes the time to ask me about their plants.
