Department of Forestry

Dr. J. Michael Kelly, Professor and Dean of the College of Natural Resources

Teaching Responsibilities

  • FOR 5494 Natural Resource Research Procedures

Selected Research Activities

  • Evaluation of the changes in soil carbon sequestration in the soils of deciduous forest stands as influenced by time and site factors.
  • Use of minimalist quantitative mechanistic models to describe and predict nutrient uptake by woody species. Current focus is on loblolly pine.
