Applying for Scholarships

To apply for any of the scholarships available to students in Forestry or in the College of Natural Resources, complete an Undergraduate Scholarship Application Form and return it to the Office of Academic Programs in 138 Cheatham Hall. If you are applying for a particular scholarship, please indicate that on the top of your application. You can also submit a general application to be considered for all appropriate scholarships. The Office of Academic Programs can help you find the right scholarships to meet your financial needs. It is highly recommended that you stop by the Office of Academic Programs to discuss opportunities on an individual basis.

Application Deadlines

The deadline for application is typically January 25 of each year, but you may wish to contact the Office of Academic Programs for information about a particular scholarship.

Financial Need

We have many types of scholarships. Some scholarships focus on career goals or academic standing, while others emphasize demonstrated financial need. A FAFSA form should be completed and on file with Virginia Tech before applying for our scholarships, but our college considers each student on an individual basis, not on a formulaic basis. Therefore, do not assume that you are not eligible for financial assistance. We look forward to meeting with you.
